Mechanical Tests – Proving Strength & Deviation

In the early developmental stages of the Titan proving process, Dulhunty Poles carried out many tests of various types on inhouse manufactured and cured Titan Poles to satisfy the rigid criteria demanded for a long life, maintenance free power pole for Australasia.

Full scale strength and deviation tests had been carried out on lengths up to 15.5m with the ultimate load range capacity from 3kN to a maximum rating suitable for 24kN poles.

At appropriate junctures, independent specifically qualified organisations were requested to carry out these specific proving tests in accordance with the designated standards.

Although our engineering / design staff are well satisfied with our manufacturing regime, to ensure this high standard remains, stringent mechanical testing continues on a regular basis.
